MLA 2012 Prospectus Setting the pace

Setting the Pace presents the latest information on planning for the Games and how the work of museums, libraries and archives already focuses on the emerging themes of the cultural programme for the Games - ‘inspiring and engaging the youth of the world’, ‘celebrating world cultures and the diversity of the UK’, and ‘leaving a lasting legacy’. It also highlights some of the inspirational ideas which people from museums, libraries and archives have already put forward for engaging with the cultural Olympiad.

Bolton Toolkit An Economic Valuation - Toolkit

Following the successful launch of the findings of " An Economic Valuation - Bolton's Museum, Library and Archive Services", MLA North West is pleased to announce the development of the Toolkit designed specifically to enable local authorities to carry out similar projects. The Toolkit is simple to use and demonstrates how the Contingent Valuation method can be used to good effect to illustrate the public value of museums, libraries and archives.

RCMG Exec Summ Engaging Archives with Inspiring Learning for All - Executive Summary

MLA North West recently commissioned a report into the challenges and barriers faced by archives in the North West attempting to embed Inspiring Learning for All. The findings are now available to download here along with recommendations on how MLA North West could best support the development of Inspiring Leaning for All in archives.
