THE ASSOCIATION FOR CULTURAL ENTERPRISES (ACE) is the UK’s only organisation for professionals in the field of cultural and heritage commerce. It aims to promote best practice through the provision of training and networking opportunities and to encourage commercial operations within the not-for-profit cultural and heritage sector to work collaboratively for their mutual benefit.
Members include archives, libraries, museums, galleries, castles, historic houses, gardens, cathedrals, theatres and heritage and cultural attractions. Members are involved in a wide variety of commercial activities including retail, publishing, licensing, catering, venue hire, ticket sales and corporate events.
Organisations can become members from just £30 per year and members can attend study days and an annual convention at subsidised rates. There is also free access to themed electronic discussion groups for members and a biannual magazine.
