Making Reminiscence Work For You

A range of speakers should give you some ideas and insight into how reminiscence might work for you.

  • Kirsty Hall, Learning Officer, Wigan Pier and Hannah Crowdy, Keeper of Local and Social History, Grosvenor Museum will both discuss their experiences in running reminiscence sessions.
  • Dianne Teskey, Learning & Outreach Officer, Wigan Heritage Services will talk about using Archives in reminiscence work.
  • Janice McGiveron, Project Worker for Wigan’s Dementia Care Service will look at work done recently with dementia sufferers.

There will also be a chance to look at the reminiscence boxes assembled by Wigan Heritage Services.

If you are interested in attending please contact Sean Baggaley to reserve a place. A detailed itinerary will be sent out nearer the time. This event is organised by the NW Social History Group. It is open to members and non-members and is absolutely FREE.
